Elio
Named after the Greek sun god Helios and designed by Canadian design studio Yabu Pushelberg, Elio aims to capture a universal and fleeting moment in time: a sunset. Inspired by the movement of light reflecting off landscapes and objects, Elio’s elegant weave reflects the soft tones created by twilight. Elio is characterized by a subtly rounded silhouette that slopes inwards, creating a delicious cocoon.
The armchair, low chair, lounge chair with high backrest and two-seater sofa have a frame in natural teak whose rear legs criss-cross the seat. The seat is handwoven in Tricord. Ancient textile techniques are combined with contemporary materials and dyeing processes to create a soft-touch, yet weather-resistant material. The degradé effect with subtle shades is obtained by combining different colors of yarn into one strand and gives each piece a unique look. The wickerwork is available in Linen, Wengé and Moss.
